The phrase seems small but holds
a lot of value, and decides the fate of many.Since the day we are born to the
day our bodies will be covered with white shrouds, the only taboo that sticks to
our lives forever, the only taboo that is not decreasing with time is ‘Loog kya
kehenge’.And due to this fear we hold ourselves back and don’t do what we want
to do. Regardless of, where we belong to, we are
always prone to rationalize ‘’Loog Kya Kehenge’’.
We are confined to do certain
acts that make us socially valuable, consciously or unconsciously we are just bound to take such decisions, forgetting that
its making us shallow from inside. Lets see how the society molds our lives,
some examples are as follows ;
What if I don't score good in my exams, loog kya kehenge...
I want to become an artist, should I ? but wait...loog kya kehenge.
What if I don't get a job,loog kya kehenge...
I am not getting married soon after completing my studies but wait... loog kya kehenge
What if I don't score good in my exams, loog kya kehenge...I want to become an artist, should I ? but wait...loog kya kehenge.
What if I don't get a job,loog kya kehenge...
I am not getting married soon after completing my studies but wait... loog kya kehenge
I shouldn't behave this way in public..loog kya kehenge
Should I...
What If......
Should I...
What If......
And the list goes on and on….
The famous phrase transforms us in a person that we never wanted to be. If not said then it's in the minds. Dreams that we want to fulfill are
sometimes molded by the society and given to us, so that we can implement it and
live the life, that they want us to live. We don’t listen to ourselves, we
listen to people who won't be happy, no matter what we do. Fulfilling what
people want and what they like, might give them joy, but will increase your
stress and at times lead you to depression. We live in a world where
imaginary things like economy, fashion, status and desiring things is the norm.
But in reality, what matters is how we keep ourselves happy, untying the norms.
We are constantly in the race of
impressing people, forgetting what we want from life. We become selfish
when it comes to materialistic things, but forget ourselves when it comes to
our own lives. So lets stop thinking
about them and lets think about our own self, that will liberate not just our bodies and
our minds as well!
